A photo of a young childThe Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) provides meals and snacks in child care centers, youth programs, shelters, day care homes, and adult day care facilities. Children in childcare who meet certain income guidelines can receive free or reduced meals. Eligibility guidelines are set by the individual provider or organization. Organizations providing meals through CACFP receive reimbursement through the program.

Individuals can apply for CACFP by asking their child or adult day care facility or day care home.
